Carol Jean Richmond Robinson, aged 76, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026. Born on January 23, 1950, in Moundsville, West Virginia, Carol brought warmth and kindness to all who knew her.
Carol considered her most important and passionate role to be that of a homemaker. She was devoted to her family, taking immense pride and joy in nurturing and spending time with them, especially her cherished grandchildren. Her home was a place where everyone felt welcome, embodying an “open door” policy filled with warmth and abundant hospitality. Carol was a talented cook who took delight in preparing meals for family and friends, ensuring there was always enough for everyone to enjoy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aldridge and Audrey Rutan Richmond; her stepfather, Bob Lyle; her brother, David Lyle; and her beloved dog, Reese, who was a wonderful companion.
Carol is survived by her husband, David P. Robinson; her sons, David (Missy) Robinson and Mike (Jennifer) Robinson; her brother, Robert (Virginia) Richmond; her adored grandchildren, Hanna, Brittany, Brianna (Derek Cumpston), Kaden, Bailey, and Megan; and her doting great-grandchildren, Teegan, Luna, Braxton, Maverick, Oaklynn, Banx, and Millie.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Carol’s life during the visitation hours scheduled from 5 pm to 8 pm on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, located at 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, at 11 am at the same location, followed by interment at Riverview Cemetery.
