Buena (Klima) Wingrove, a resident of Glen Dale, WV, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2026, at the age of 88, at the Moundsville Healthcare Center in Moundsville, WV. Born on June 13, 1938, in Wheeling, WV.
Buena worked in housekeeping at Wheeling Hospital, faithfully working fulltime until the age of 79. Outside of her professional life, she found joy in gardening, solving puzzles, playing cards, and spending cherished moments with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary T. Wingrove; a daughter, Cindy Powell; a grandson, Billy Powell; her parents, Charles and Mary (Haught) Klima; a brother, Ted Klima; and a sister, Joyce Davis.
Buena is survived by her loving daughters, Melanie Dawson and Barbara (Joe) Cuchta; her treasured grandchildren, Michael (Paul) Powell, Tom (Brittany) Cuchta, and John (Jessi) Cuchta; and her adored great-granddaughters, Lydia and Mahala. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
A private entombment will take place at Riverview Cemetery in Moundsville, WV, with arrangements entrusted to Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes and Kirby-Vance Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Glen Dale Volunteer Fire Department, Buena’s family is very grateful for their help the last few years.
