Ronnie Gail Barker, 71, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Monday September 21, 2026.
He was born on October 4, 1954, in Braxton County, WV, son of the late Denver Barker, Sr. and Edna Singleton Barker.
Ronnie was a retired maintenance worker for Ohio County Schools, and the responsible property maintenance worker at Wheeling Island Stadium. He was also an automotive mechanic at Henry’s Gas Station for many years. He was always helping others and was the neighborhood Mr. Fix It. His favorite hobby was being on his tractor.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by three brothers, Denver “Bug” Barker, Jr., John Barker, and Robert Waggy; and two sisters, Cherry Belle Barker and Carrie Bradey.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Deborah Anne Kent Barker; two daughters, Tiffany (Robert) Boles and Rona (Aaron) Kaluger; two granddaughters, Ryleigh Ingram and Averyana Boles; three grand dogs, Hadley, Sunny, and Andy; four sisters, Donna Midcap (Delbert), Rebecca (Joe) Farina, Connie Ashbrook, and Mecheal (Rick) Bowers; several nieces and nephews; and all his special neighbors.
At Ronnie’s request there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of life will be held at a time to be decided.
