Dalto, Diane Lee Miller, 79, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026 at the Continuous Care Center Wheeling Hospital.
She was born on May 31, 1947, in Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late Walter Eugene and Louise Ann Moore Miller.
Diane was an active member of Hope United Methodist Church and loved her church family. She had many hobbies that included gardening, canning, fishing, and woodworking. She loved spending time with her family and attending her grandkids’ sporting events. Diane cherished her family, her faith, and the memories made with those she loved.
In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her spouse, John Allen Dalto in 2024; and a sister, Mary Lou Carlson.
Diane is survived by her two children, Janet (Bruce) Dunn of Shadyside, OH and James E. Ryder of Triadelphia, WV; six grandchildren, Halen Ryder, Christian Ryder, Josh (Jordan) Stevens, Jason (Brittany) Dunn, Lauren (Cole) Elliott, and Lindsey (Logan) Schramm; five great-grandchildren, Avery Stevens, Embrie & Lyra Elliott, and Gemma & Kasen Dunn; several nieces and nephews; and her close friends, John & Jeanne Sikole, and Mary Jane & Stanley Rogerson.
Friends will be received on Sunday, October 11, 2026 from 3-6 PM and on Monday, October 12, 2026 from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311) with Reverend Neil Leftwich officiating.
