Kenny Wayne Harter, 87, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, at Seneca Rehabilitation Hospital, Wheeling, WV.
He was born June 29, 1939, in Colic, WV, son of Irvin Clyde Harter and Esther Brewer Harter.
Kenny retired from Maness Construction and was a member of the Nazarene Church. He took great pride in his Coca-Cola collection, woodworking skills, and love of odd foods, but loved family the most. They remember his enjoyment of card games and Kenny’s ability to count cards.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Grace Winterhalter Harter; and three brothers Irvin Harter, Stanley Lee Harter, and Gary Harter.
Kenny is survived by one son, Barry (Sandra) Harter; a daughter, Amber L. Straight; three grandchildren, Dylan Harter, Angelina Straight, and Logan Harter; a brother, James (Margie) Harter and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Middlebourne Cemetery, Middlebourne, WV.
Arrangements were made by Kenner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV.
