William Edward Ward, 77, of Valley Grove, WV, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at home.
He was born March 15, 1949 in Wheeling, son of the late Donald and Pauline Shreve Ward.
A retired pipefitter with Local #83, William enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at the cabin, and sharing a cold beer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lollyanne Ward; his in-laws, Henry and Helen Clark; and his sister, Linda Fuhr.
William is survived by his daughter, Renae (James) Hall; his grandchildren, Logan (Elizabeth) Fisher and Maddie (Taylor) Prickett; his great-grandchildren, Kendall & Kreed Fisher and Sutton Prickett; his brothers, Don (Sharon) Ward, John (Joyce) Ward, Henry (Jody) Ward; his sister, Paula (Mark) Kappas; and several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with William’s wishes, there will be no services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St. Wheeling (304-242-2311).
