Denzil Ray Williams, 81, of Wheeling, WV, formerly of Anniston, AL, peacefully passed away October 23, 2026 at his home in Betty Zane with his dog, Bella, by his side.
He was born December 24, 1944, son of the late Offie Dale Williams and Mary Dell Haller Williams.
Denzil was a Vietnam War Veteran and a retired truck driver for a concrete company in Anniston, AL for several years. He attended Grafton High School in Taylor County.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cathie Lee Allen Williams of Anniston, AL; five brothers, John, Herb, Tom, Merle and Charlie; and a brother-in-law, Thurman Hedrick.
He is survived by his adopted son, Randall Williams of Anniston, AL; one brother, William “Bill” Lee (Teresa) Williams; two sisters, Edith Williams (Jim) Stanton and Dessie Williams Hedrick; special niece, Sandy Hedrick, whom he lived beside with his sister, Dessie; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no visitation.
Interment with full military honors in Grafton National Cemetery, Grafton WV, will be held at a later date.
