Rosalie Marie McAnich Ashby, 88, Wheeling, WV, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Seneca Rehabilitation Hospital.
She was born August 30, 1938, in Martins Ferry, OH, daughter of the late James and Dora Oberfield McAnich.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ashby; her sons, Ralph Vetanze and Matthew Vetanze; and her daughter-in-law, Stephanie Vetanze.
Rosalie is survived by her children, Mary (Ken) Paros, Candace Rinkis, James Vetanze, Michael Vetanze, David (Tina) Vetanze, Daniel Vetanze; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
According to Rosalie’s wishes, there will be no services. The family would like a special thank you to the kind and caring staff of wing 5 at Seneca (Peterson) Rehabilitation and Ashley, Stephanie, Kate and Rhonda. Arrangements by Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St. Wheeling (304-242-2311).
