Max “Rick” Frederick Vieweg, Jr., 73, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at home.
He was born October 4, 1953, in Wheeling, son of the late Max Sr. and Nancy Hilmes Vieweg.
A retired marketing executive, Rick was an avid golfer who cherished spending time watching his beloved Rams, fishing, and being with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Jason Guthrie; his mother & father-in-law, Joseph & Beverly Calangelo; and brother-in-law, Paul Chiazza.
Rick is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alberta Calangelo-Vieweg; his brothers, Mark (Betsy) Vieweg, Kevin (Tina) Vieweg, Scott (Linda) Vieweg; his sister, Carolyn Fabian; his sisters-in-law, Jackie Chiazza, Mary Ann (Rick) Zandron, Connie (Gary) Syrylo; brother-in-law, Joe (Cindy) Calangelo; special cousins, Rosella (Tony) Paree, Judie Jones, William Pestke; numerous nieces and nephews; and his adopted family, Edwin, Karla, Gimena; and his best fur friends, Maddison and Finley.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, November 5, 2026 from 10am until the time of service at 12pm, at Kepner Funeral Home/Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Ave. Wheeling (304-277-2722). Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
