Arnett “Skip” Boney, Jr., passed away on December 18, 2025, at the age of 69, at WVU Medicine – Wheeling Hospital. Born on January 8, 1956, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Arnett and Ann (Young) Boney, Sr.
Skip was a man of many talents, known for being a “jack of all trades” and possessing an exceptional ability with his hands. His career as a truck driver allowed him to explore the open road, a fitting occupation for someone who cherished freedom and the journey of life.
An avid animal lover, Skip shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Trixie, who was always by his side. He also had a passion for riding his Honda bike, often taking to the roads with the Shadow Riders of America.
Skip’s life was enriched by his 27 years of marriage to his devoted wife, Helen Boney. In addition to Helen, Skip is survived by two sons, Danny (Cara) Boney and Gary Matney, and three grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Skip is preceded in death by a son, Gregory Boney.
Skip will be remembered for his warm heart, adventurous spirit, and the indelible mark he left on all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, reunited with those who have gone before him.
