Melisa Marie Lough, 51, of Bellaire, OH, passed away with family by her side on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Liza’s Place.
She was born on February 24, 1974, in Glen Dale, WV, a daughter of Rick Bell and the late Catherine DeFelice-Bergen. Melisa had a deep passion for the arts. She found joy and solace in reading and writing, and her love for music and singing resonated with those around her, she even passed on her love for music to her daughter. Melisa enjoyed traveling with her family, her favorite trip being to Minnesota, where she was about to visit the home of “Little House on the Prairie”. An animal lover at heart, she enjoyed spending time with her dog, Bella and cat, Marlee. Above everything else, Melisa cherished spending time with her only grandson, Ron-Ron, whom she had a strong bond with.
In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by an uncle, Guy Bergen; her grandmother, Emma Lee Landers and a brother-in-law, Art Lough.
Melisa leaves behind a loving family, including her devoted husband of 35 years, Ron Lough; two children, Hunter (SheaLynn Cesario) Lough and Kayla Lough; her grandson, Ronnie “Ron-Ron” Spencer; a brother, Ian (Danielle) Porter; a cousin and sister, Stephanie (Jed) Aston; two aunts, Donna (Ernie) Allen and Barbara Himmelsbach; two nieces, Kiernan and Savannah and a nephew, Griffin. Her presence will also be missed by numerous friends who were touched by her kindness and warmth.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 1185 Grant Ave., Moundsville, on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 2- 4 pm and again from 6 until time of funeral services at 7:30 PM.
