Janice Lee “Peggy” Lowe, born on September 20, 1937, in Glen Dale, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, in Wheeling, West Virginia, at the age of 88.
Peggy dedicated many years of her life to serving others as a cook in the Dietary Department at Reynolds Memorial Hospital. Her commitment to her work and her warm presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
A woman of faith, Peggy attended Calvary United Methodist Church in Moundsville, WV, where she found solace and fellowship.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Lowe; her parents, Walter and Edith (Logsdon) Carte; her brother, Walter “Bud” Carte; her sister, Vonda Vucelick; and her son, Ronald Lowe.
Peggy is survived by her son, Tim Lowe, and his wife Sandy of Georgia; her daughter, Sharon Clark, and her husband Roy of Moundsville, West Virginia. She also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness.
Peggy’s memory will be forever treasured by her family and friends, who will remember her as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her gentle spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
