Vicki (Cook) Oshie, aged 68, died peacefully on January 13, 2026, at Liza’s Place in Wheeling. Born on August 13, 1957, in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, Vicki devoted her life to caring for others. She spent many years as a Registered Nurse at the former Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire, Ohio. Her career was marked by her extraordinary compassion and unwavering commitment to her patients’ well-being.

Vicki lived her life with quiet strength and found immense joy in the simplest pleasures. She was a true homebody, delighting in the warmth and familiarity of her surroundings. She cherished her time spent with family and friends and was an avid reader. Her beloved cat, Anni, was her constant companion, and together they shared many peaceful moments.

A devoted fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Vicki could often be found cheering her team on with fervent enthusiasm. Her faith as a Catholic provided her guidance and solace, and it reflected in the kindness and generosity she showed to everyone around her.

Preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Eva (Rinaldi) Cook; her beloved husband of 27 years, Bill “Ted” Oshie; and mother-in-law Charlotte Oshie, Vicki leaves behind a devoted family to cherish her memory. She is survived by her loving son, Nicholas Oshie; her sisters Stacie (Fred) Emert and Lynda (Sven) Gunn of Tucson, Arizona; her dear aunt Shirley and uncle Don Anthony; her cherished nieces Ashlie and Sarah, and nephew Andrew; and her faithful feline companion, Anni.

Family and friends will gather to honor Vicki’s life on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 5:00 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling.
