James Chester Hoyt, 85, formerly of Fairfax VA, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Greensprings Senior Living in Springfield, VA.
He was born on March 18, 1940, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Alfred Chester and Pearl Cusick Hoyt.
James was a General Manager in the hotel industry and a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wheeling, WV.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, William “Billy” Hoyt and his grandparents, Chester and Laura Hoyt.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Greenwood Cemetery, 1526 National Road, Wheeling, WV.
